Installers of CATERING EQUIPMENT can now become
APPROVED CONTRACTORS - recognised under the Water Fittings Regulations
and authorised to carry out some installation work without having to get
the Water Supplier’s consent in advance.
WRAS and representatives from several of the Water
Suppliers, with the Catering Equipment Distributors Association (CEDA)
and Catering Equipment Suppliers Association (CESA) have developed a
sector of Approved Contractor Schemes for the Catering Equipment
Installers, to show their competence and knowledge of the Water
Regulations and allow them to become registered as Approved

The sector was developed to the specific needs and
requirements of the Catering Industry, defining the extent of the
knowledge needed of the Water Regulations for CEDA/CESA members to carry
