Heat retained in water heaters will cause expansion of water after closure of draw-off taps and valves. Provision for expansion of water must be made to accommodate excess pressure within with system. Particular care is required where check valves are positioned, or loose jumper valves are thought to be upstream of the heater.

Range of directly heated cased and insulated wall mounted unvented hot water storage cylinders. The cylinders are supplied with an inlet manifold that contains a 3.5 bar pressure reducing valve, single check valve cartridge and a 6 bar expansion relief valve. The product is supplied with an expansion vessel and a tundish. The cylinders are factory fitted with a 3kW heater and a temperature & pressure relief valve (7 bar 95°C). Maximum working pressure 5.5 bar.

Size: 22mm compression inlet and outlet connections.
