Not only will you need to meet installation requirements, but also consider the pipe, fittings and water-using appliances you will be installing. These components need to meet stringent requirements for performance as well as the materials they are made of.

One of the best ways to ensure you use the correct type of fittings is using one which is WRAS Approved. The WRAS Approval directory lists a range of fittings and products which have demonstrated they comply with the regulations and byelaws when correctly installed. 

Not all fittings are approved for all situations and may be limited to specific circumstances. Each component or appliance listed will have advice on any limitations for use or installation requirements which need to be considered before planning to install them.
