WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

When anyone visits our website, we also store information about the way they interact with our website through the use of cookies.  This helps us to make sure it is the best possible experience for you.  Find out more about the way we use cookies on this site. 

You can access the website without giving any personal details. However, if you sign up for the WRAS newsletter this will require you to provide personal details. WRAS for its own use, holds the personal details that you submit. It is your responsibility to ensure that your personal data is accurate and up to date and to inform us of any changes that need to be made. In submitting your personal data you consent to it being processed by WRAS.

When a member joins WIAPS the data we collect includes personal contact information such as your name, address and email address. In addition we store personal details including your date of birth and national insurance number. We also store any information you have given us about the way you would like to be contacted by us, your Approved Contractor Scheme membership number and your responses to surveys should you chose to take part in them.

Details of individuals who have successfully passed training to be Water Industry Approved Type BA (RPZ) Valve Testers is passed to Us by Develop Training Limited.

us or by companies associated with us. We take no responsibility for the use of any information about you, which is collected as a result of your use of these web sites and this privacy policy does not extend to any web site operated by anybody other than us.

HOW DO WE USE THAT INFORMATION

When you request to join the WRAS newsletter we ask you for contact information. Your details are held in a contact database. Should you wish to unsubscribe you can do so at any time. 

For WIAPS members we seek permission to include the name of any recognised individuals within your business on our public search.  This is to enable website users to check that an individual has been recognised by WIAPS and that they work for an Approved Business.

Where we collect the date of birth or national insurance numbers of recognised individuals we use this only for administration purposes to ensure that do not have duplicated records of individuals. This information is protected and not disclosed on our website.

Details of individuals who have successfully passed training to be Water Industry Approved Type BA (RPZ) Valve Testers is passed to Us by Develop Training Limited. Develop Training Limited are the data controller for this information. This information is listed on the WRAS website to enable website users to identify suitably qualified individuals.

DISCLOSING YOUR INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES 

The personal information you give us is only disclosed to other businesses if we have your permission. 

We may disclose details about use of our web sites to other businesses e.g. to demonstrate patterns of use to advertisers and other business partners. The information we pass on will not include any personal information by which you may be identified.

We may forward your personal details to the Police, HMRC or another regulatory body if we are asked to do so or wish to do so in order to comply with the law or in relation to any suspected misuse by you of our web site or any of our web site services.

You are entitled to request from us, a copy of any personal information we hold about you. Provision of such information may be subject to the payment of a fee (currently fixed at £10.00).
